Animal Chiropractic Care at Path of Life

Adjusting Roxy

Animal Chiropractic care is a relatively new specialty, adding a complementary approach to traditional veterinary care to help our fur-babies feel better and function better.  Quadrupeds have spines designed to protect and house the nervous system, just as humans do - the main difference is that their spines are horizontal rather than vertical (well, also, they have tails!) Vertebral subluxation in the spinal column can present in our four-leggeds very similarly to how it shows up in humans: restricted movement, imbalances, fatigue, discomfort, impaired performance, injuries, and pain/tenderness.  Vertebral subluxations in humans or any other animal create a "garbage in, garbage out" problem by interfering with the information sent from the body to the brain, and with commands sent from the brain out to the body.  The brain can only make "decisions" (create outgoing commands) based on the quality of information it receives from the body.  Without the right quality, quantity, and composition of information from the body, the brain cannot adapt its outgoing commands appropriately.  By restoring information flow to and from the brain, the Chiropractic adjustment for vertebral subluxation aims to change the "garbage in, garbage out" situation to a "GOOD STUFF in, GOOD STUFF out!"  That change, otherwise known as improved adaptation, can help our fur-babies to walk better, run, better, balance better... and very simply be healthier.

Although the technical details of the Chiropractic adjustment are naturally very different for quadrupeds than upright bipeds, the goal and intention of care is the same: our mission is to employ gentle and specific Chiropractic care to help restore your precious pet's EASE and enjoyment of life, and to restore your pet's adaptability and resilience, which are foundational cornerstones for good health.

That's what Animal Chiropractic Care is about: to help him or her be the healthiest fur-baby possible, for as many years as we can enjoy with them.  Call us and let's talk about whether this approach is right for you and your animal and how to make this happen.
